A day in the life of a Sales Development Representative

As a Customer Service Representative (outbound sales calling), you are at the front lines of supporting revenue generation for CBI Group. You are a Sales Development Representative in the Austin market area, working with clients to schedule appointments for Sales Consultants to access their office space and furniture needs. You love interacting with people and establish a rapport and trust easily. This is a fast-paced, highly rewarding position, on a FUN sales team!

What you'll be doing:

  • Using the phone, email, LinkedIn, and some physical packet drops in the field to set qualified appointments for our Project Consultant Team.
  • Continuously filling sales pipeline via outbound prospecting.
  • Tracking and inputting all activity into CRM system.
  • Driving CBI Groups growth by delivering a world class sales experience to new prospects while building and managing a pipeline for the sales team.
  • Calling on and qualifying potential leads by making outbound calls and uncovering their current or future office furniture needs, budget, and timeline.
  • Meeting with leads and providing informational material on our services and products.
  • Handling inbound inquiries via phone or company website.
  • Answering questions about the company by sharing our mission, values, and dedication to our clients


What we are looking for:

  • 1+ years of cold calling and sales development experience
  • Ability to build and manage a pipeline from cold call to appointment in CRM
  • Networking/PR/Marketing experience
  • Proven experience of interacting verbally with senior executives
  • Excellent listening and communication skills
  • Ability to maintain a high level of activity
  • Not afraid to hear "No" from leads
  • Proactive mindset
  • Professional demeanor
  • Positive
  • Must thrive working in a fast-paced environment
  • Results-oriented with a committed effort to exceed individual and team goals
  • Motivated to go above and beyond for our clients, employees, and company to exceed our goals

  • Clean and valid Driver's License
