A DAY IN THE LIFE OF A SALES CONSULTANT / ACCOUNT EXECUTIVE / OUTSIDE SALES EXECUTIVE

As a Sales Consultant / Account Executive / Outside Sales Executive, you are at the front lines of revenue generation so that we can continue serving our customers and providing for our employees.

What you'll be doing:

  • Managing deals in the local San Antonio and/or Austin market area and exceeding sales goals within that territory
  • Closing large projects averaging over $100k each
  • Identifying and building relationships with key decision makers, in order to generate profitable revenue
  • Making sales calls with potential clients in order to grow existing account base
  • Communicating product and company value points while educating clients through detailed explanations and/or demonstrations
  • Effectively communicating with other departments to ensure all aspects of the design, presentation, purchasing and installation steps exceed the client's expectations
  • Following up with existing clients to ensure we have exceeded their expectations
  • Keeping records of all interactions including detailed notes on their project needs and requests
  • Staying current on product offerings, company developments, and office furniture industry trends
  • Being a key player in improving overall team productivity, sharing strategy ideas with your team and management

Requirements:
What we are looking for:

  • 5 years of experience in B2B or outside sales
  • Experience managing multiple accounts exceeding $2 million annually
  • Excellent writing and communication skills are essential to your success, as you spend a lot of time in conversation with prospective clients
  • Ability to use diagnostic and question-based selling techniques and presenting project recommendations to C-level executives and other company decision-makers
  • Ability to skillfully overcome objections. Your mission is to win new accounts and drive our growth.
  • Organized and goal oriented. Using your analytical side, you proactively forecast sales and carefully plan out your month, quarter, and year to regularly achieve individual and team goals.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office/Outlook
  • Reliable transportation, a valid driver's license, registration, and insurance
  • Ability to travel by car locally to meet clients daily

Bonus Skill:

  • A degree in business, marketing, or another relevant field would be a plus but not required.
